Until pets are adopted, our goal is to have every one in a foster home, instead of a kennel. We need more foster homes to reach that goal! Find out more here.
Addie (1 yr. Heeler mix)Addie has really started to come out of her shell! When she first came into our care she was terrified and didn't want anyone to touch her. Now she's happy, playful, and loves attention! She's still shy around new people, but warms up pretty quickly. Her skin is healing nicely and eventually her fur will grow back. She's already a beautiful girl, but just imagine how amazing she'll look with all her hair back!
Archie (Pit Bull/Lab mix, 4 yrs.)This sweet lover boy sure is full of kisses! It is so hard to believe how amazingly forgiving these babies are! Someone poured motor oil on this guy in attempt, we believe, to kill off bugs or mites. He came to us with semi burned skin the shade of purple. He is recovering well and has even started to gain fur back! Archie would do best as an only pet in a home with older children.
Billy (1 yr. Pit Bull)Billy is very loving and playful, but has a lot of pent-up energy from being in boarding. He's been working with a trainer and has been doing really well on picking on basic manners. He needs to be in a home that can give him the time and attention he needs. He loves toys, but isn't destructive with them. He'll sit for his treats and is working on being more patient with waiting. We've even had him around other dogs and he doesn't seem to be aggressive towards them. All he wants to do is play.
Brady (Male, 1 yr)Brady had a major abscess on the side of his face, but it was successfully drained, cleaned, and he was given antibiotics. He's healing up nicely and should be ready for his forever home soon. He's pretty chill and likes to lay on blankets while watching his foster mom go about her sewing. He's well behaved and seems to really like people. Right now he's still in introduction phase so he hasn't been introduced to her other cats yet, but we have a feeling he'll do fine.
Bridget (9 yrs.)Bridget is a very sweet and laid back cat. She prefers to spend most of the day lounging, but will greet you with a happy meow when you get home. If Julie Andrews were to sing a song about her, sunbeams and eating twice a day would definitely be listed as two of her favorite things.
Bronson (16 weeks)Bronson is in a foster home and learning how to be a part of a family. He gets along great with kids and other dogs. We're not sure about cats yet, but he's so sweet he would probably just want to play with them. He does have a condition called immune-mediated hemolytic anemia or IMHA. It just means that he won't be able to receive any vaccines as per veterinary recommendation.
Brownie (male, 9 weeks)This poor sweet baby was found huddled near someone's front porch. The doctor found puncture wounds on his head and in his mouth like he had been bitten by a larger dog. The wounds abscessed and were causing him tremendous pain. He's in a foster home now and feeling a million times better now! He's eating regular food and being playful and active like a normal puppy should.
Bruno (1 yr. Hound mix)Bruno came to us with shattered pelvis on the right side after being hit by car. He is recovering nicely in his foster home. He is fantastic with kids, dogs and cats.
Buddy (8 years, Terrier mix)This handsome, regal gent is Buddy. He is dog and people friendly, but likes to chase cats. He is also almost deaf and would need a family with understanding of the anxieties that can cause in dogs.
Cherry (lab mix, 1 yr)Cherry was found with a badly mangled tail and the lower half of one of her legs missing. It is believed she got herself caught in a jaw trap. The vet repaired what was left of her tail and amputated her bad leg. She's healing really well and has even had her staples removed already. She's getting around just fine and getting really comfortable with her surroundings in her foster home. She's really shy at first, but so sweet and loving once she gets to know you a little better.
Clyde (Shepherd mix, 1 yr)Clyde had been wandering around a neighborhood for a while. It took several volunteers to finally trap him because he was very skittish around people. He's starting to get used to them now and isn't quite as timid as he was.
We're still running some tests to try and found out why his leg is in so much pain as x-rays came back showing nothing was broken. Hopefully soon he'll be ready for his forever home, but he could use a foster in the meantime while we working to figure out what's going on.
Corey (Lab mix, 3 yrs.)This sweet guy has a rather heartbreaking story. He was picked up by a good Samaritan after being hit by a car and treated for his injuries, but that's not the heartbreaking part. About a week earlier another dog was hit by a car and didn't make it, but a black dog who had been its companion was seen running off and it's believed to have been Corey.
Crystal (7 months)Crystal is a very sweet kitten. She's still quite young, but knows what a litter box is for and loves to play!
She recently had an amputation done on her front left leg because it was badly broken after a dog got ahold of her. Tripawd cats manage quite well and she's still fully capable of running, jumping, and climbing.
