Until pets are adopted, our goal is to have every one in a foster home, instead of a kennel. We need more foster homes to reach that goal! Find out more here.
Addie (1 yr, Heeler mix)Addie has really started to come out of her shell! When she first came into our care she was terrified and didn't want anyone to touch her. Now she's happy, playful, and loves attention! She's still shy around new people, but warms up pretty quickly. Her skin is healing nicely and eventually her fur will grow back. She's already a beautiful girl, but just imagine how amazing she'll look with all her hair back!
Archie (Pit Bull/Lab mix, 4 yrs.)This sweet lover boy sure is full of kisses! It is so hard to believe how amazingly forgiving these babies are! Someone poured motor oil on this guy in attempt, we believe, to kill off bugs or mites. He came to us with semi burned skin the shade of purple. He is recovering well and has even started to gain fur back! Archie would do best as an only pet in a home with older children.
Bruno (1 yr. Hound mix)Bruno came to us with shattered pelvis on the right side after being hit by car. He is recovering nicely in his foster home. He is fantastic with kids, dogs and cats.
Buddy (7.5 years, Terrier mix)This handsome, regal gent is Buddy. He is dog and people friendly, but likes to chase cats. He is also almost deaf and would need a family with understanding of the anxieties that can cause in dogs.
Cheyenne (lab/pit bull mix, 7 mons.)The playful little girl is a bit shy at first, but she gets over it quickly and loves absolutely everyone! She's great with kids, other dogs, and even though she hasn't been around cats yet she'd probably be okay with them too.
Cora (18 weeks, lab mix)Cora is doing wonderfully after her surgery! Poor girl had to wait a whole week to get the leg amputated due to a nasty infection in the area. But now the infection is under control, her leg has been successfully amputated, and she's a happy little puppy who loves to give kisses! She's going to be a fantastic companion for some lucky family.
Eddie (Lab mix, 4 yrs.)Eddie is a very loving and loyal dog. He's just a little bit shy at first, but he warms up very quickly and just wants to follow you around and be nearby. He's a sucker for peanut butter and soft bedding. He also gets along well with other dogs. He's pretty chill, but his playful side does come out with enough motivation.
Faith (12 yrs. Hound)Faith somehow ended up in the city shelter scared and confused without her family. She is 12 years old, heartworm positive, arthritic, has a mass by her tail, abscess on her back and an eye infection. She is currently in a foster home getting pampered.
Freya (1 year)Freya is sweet tempered and affectionate. This beautiful girl was hit by a car in eastern Broken Arrow and suffered temporary sight loss as a result, as well as being understandably disoriented. Luckily nothing was broken and she is otherwise healthy!
Harry (1 yr)Harry has a severe case of cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), but is learning to walk better thanks to her foster.
Jessie (15 weeks, Female)Jessie a real purr machine. She loves to play with other cats and tolerates dogs. When you pick her up or just pet her she starts purring almost immediately. Sometimes she'll even get a head start purring in anticipation of being loved on.
Johnny (Male, 1 yr.)This handsome boy was believed to have been hit by a car. If so he definitely was a lucky guy! His injuries were mostly superficial. The injury around his eye has recovered nicely even if he does still look a little rough. He had 2 broken toes on his front left paw and so his dew claw and inner most toe had to be amputated. Once he's fully recovered he'll be able to walk on it just and be a normal cat. We're not sure yet how he'd be with other animals yet, but he loves people.
Katia (Female, 12 wks)This beautiful little girl came from the Sapulpa shelter with a degloved lower jaw. She is currently in a loving foster home, enjoying a normal kitten life with her foster brothers and sisters. She does enjoy the other kittens, but she is probably okay as an only kitten as well.
Mabel (10 months)Mable came from a local shelter. The skin and fur on the end of her tail was missing and all that was left was bone. In spite of this she is very sweet and affectionate. She is currently in a foster home. She is becoming a lap kitty and learning how to be social.
Maximus (1 yr. Pitt Bull mix)Maximus is the sweetest, goofiest boy. He's a little clumsy while he's still relearning how to walk, but his therapy has helped him to come a long way. He just wants to please and likes to follow his people around, but he also gets along well with other dogs. We're unsure yet how well he'd be with cats, but with his personality he'd probably just try to play with them.
Mini (7 yrs.)Sweet girl Mini was found very sick as she was barely surviving living out in the cold weather. She has come a long way and is doing really well in her foster home. Her foster mom says "Mini is a sweet little girl that enjoys head scratches and cuddling up next to you in a quiet house. She is FIV+ and requires being an only cat or with other FIV kitties. Mini is dog friendly."
Noel (1 yr, Pit Bull mix)She's a little shy around new people at first, but warms up pretty quickly. She's very playful and loves to chew so you'd better have plenty of nyla bones or other hard objects she can chew on safely. No stuffed animals, cloth toys of any kind, or rawhide! Basically she's not allowed to have anything that's easily swallowed but hard to digest.
Onyx (Female, 14 wks)Onyx came from the shelter where she had been brought in with a swollen paw. They said her paw was caught in a fence and was really swollen and infected at that point. Luckily, the leg responded well to cold laser therapy and the tissue us growing back nicely. She gets to keep the leg and it should be fully healed soon!
Romeo (6mons. Pit Bull)Romeo has an old fracture in his hind leg that is at least a month old. It's already started healing wrong. He may have to have an extensive surgery to repair it or it’s possible he may have to have it amputated. He is around 8 months old and super sweet. He seems to be good with dogs and cats.
Spud (9 years, lab mix)Spud is super chill and laid back. He just wants a comfy spot to sleep or a lap to rest his head while receiving affection. He is very protective over the people he cares about and doesn't like new people coming in. Introductions need to be handled slowly and carefully. He is currently suffering from irreversible bone loss likely due to sarcoma, but it doesn't seem to bother him too much as long as he stays on his pain meds.
Scout (14 wks, Retriever mix)Scout is around 14 weeks old and she is looking for a foster or adopter!
Scout had an old break in her leg that wasn’t fully treated, so now and there is hard callus covering the fracture along with a slight infection from having a cast on too long. Now that the cast is removed she is already starting to put weight on the leg and walk on it.
