Edna McCoy, long time Animal Aid volunteer, passed away April 29, 2006 at 88.  She will be greatly missed.
Over the years, Edna's volunteer work with Animal Aid to reunite lost & found pets to their owners was extraordinary.  Her dedication demonstrated a true love of animals.  It was Edna's devotion that has made Animal Aid's Lost & Found  the single most effective service of this type available in the Tulsa area.  Her years of tireless efforts to reunite owners with their dogs and cats has been a tremendous service to the community.

If Edna reunited you with your pet, we would like to post your story here.  Send us the details of your experience through the Contact Us link.

She was a long time board member and Chaplin of Animal Aid.  She was honored for exceptional & compassionate concern, kindness and care for animals in need by the Tulsa County Veterinary Medical Assoc. and the University of Tulsa Humane Education Center in 1980.  Recognized by J.C. Penny and the Tulsa Volunteer Center for outstanding volunteer service in 1999.  She was an American Red Cross Everyday Hero in 2000, and also that year received the Proubasta - Ruiz Award for extraordinary service to animals in need.
